Prof. Mohammed Abu Shquier holds the position of the Assistant of the President of Jerash University, the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education Deanship, and the Manager of Planning and Development Unit. He also acted as the head of Computer Science Dept. and then the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology / Jerash University. Before working at Jerash University, he was an Assistant professor at the University of Tabuk, KSA for five years, and during his Phd studies, Dr. Abu Shquier worked for two years as a senior lecturer at the American Degree Program (ADP) in Taylors University (Subang Jaya) / Malaysia. Abu Shquier received his Masters degree from the school of Computer Science at The University of Science Malaysia in Peneng (USM), and he received his Ph.D from the National University of Malaysia in Bangi (UKM). Abu Shquier’s research focuses on developing Novel Arabic Machine Translation (Rule and Statistical Based). He is also interested in conducting research in the areas of Computational Linguistics, Information Retrieval and Arabic Natural Language Processing in general. In addition to that, he had conducted a research in the area of Arabic Morphology, Syntactic and Symantic. He has published a number of papers in excellent international journals and participated at a number of conferences. Abu Shquier has more than 10 years experience in teaching under-graduate and post-graduate students from different backgrounds.
